Ezee Table

Eezy Table was another attempt at a start-up! ET was an Open Table wannabe – a service to book a table at your favourite restaurant. A joint effort between a couple of my brother's friends (Raunaq and Tapan), this fizzled out pretty damn quickly!

I was happy with how the logo and identity evolved. It was at a time where I wanted my work to be more intentional and thought-out. Very often, this approach can lead to a whole lot of navel gazing, but I think, in this case, the conceptual approach to it worked out quite well.

The evolution of the logo

The initial idea that everyone liked quite a bit: arranging the 'EZEE' letters as a dining table

Another variation of the theme

A simplified version of the idea

Then, a moment of realisation: it looks like a table but it doesn't convey 'easy'. Why not interpret 'easy' as 'simple', so the logo could be a simple table! I liked this direction

Another realisation: why 'easy' as in simple, why not 'easy' as in easy-going?

The final contenders

We finally went with easy as in easy going!

The homepage for users looking to book a table using Ezee Table. The idea was to create a homepage as close, in simplicity, to the Google search box as possible.

A note to my younger self: 'Ezee'?! What on earth were you thinking? I've mistyped it a 100 times while making this post.
